I love putting people in suspence. Part 6 of Slippery When Wet By QueeQuag1@aol.com (Randi Lynne Gross) Disclaimers in part one! They do still apply He begged the the driver to go faster. He could not believe what he had heard. She could not be dead. It didn't make any sense. He had just spoken to her. It could not be true. Unless she had....NO! He did not want to think about that. Sure she had been depressed lately but she would never take her own life. At least he hoped she wouldn't. He finally arrived at the police station 20 minutes later. he paid the taxi driver and flew out. Detective Graff was sitting at his desk doing paperwork "What happened!" Mulder asked frantically "Nothing. Is something the matter Agent Mulder?" "I...I got a call that Agent Scully was dead." The detective looked at him confused. "I never heard that. If she was I would have been the first to hear." Mulder suddenly realized. "Come on." He said. "Scully's life may be in danger." "Agent Mulder what the hell are you talking about?" Mulder told him everything. Even the pictures. "Lets go" said Detective Graff. Scully was barely able to stay awake as she parked the car in the lot. She hadn't slept much in the past few days. She nearly fell asleep driving. She walked across the parking-lot. It was dark and deserted. A sudden fear gripped her and she clutched her gun and began to run towards the hotel. She was surprised to find Mulder wasn't in the room when she returned. She was almost releaved. She put her gun on the dresser and took off her shoes. She then collapsed onto the bed. "I'll tell him in the morning." she thought. Then someone opened the door. "Mulder? Where were you?" She asked not opening her eyes. The person did not reply but sat on the bed. "Mulder?" Scully opened her eyes and screamed. She tried to get up but he pinned her down and held a gun to her head, her gun. "Shut up and do as I say or I will kill you." He said. He roughly pulled her off the bed causing her to upset a lamp. He lead her to the door. "Now walk." He said putting the gun against her back. They entered a stairwell and the man opened the door leading to a fire-escape. Her car was still there. There was no sign of a struggle, no blood, no Scully. The hotel clerk said he saw her enter the hotel, but had not seen her leave. Mulder ran upstairs to the room and found nothing. Scully had been there however, her bed was unmade and the lamp lie shattered on th#xe floor. Her shoes were still on the floor where she had taken them off. Police swarmed throughout the hotel. Mulder was talking to a Hispanic maid who spoke little English. "I gave man key." She said "Said he lost." "Did you see anything strange. Did you hear anything?" He asked "No understand." She said. "Screams. Hear screams?" He asked "No hear." The woman said obviously clueless to what Mulder was saying. Detective Graff walked over to Mulder. "2 People recall hearing a scream." He said. "No one looked though." "How could he have gotten out without anyone seeing anything?" Mulder asked. "It's 4 o'clock in the morning Agent Mulder. Most people are sleeping." Mulder nodded feeling helpless. "So you think he took her?" the detective asked h#cim. "Yes. I tried to protect her but....I guess I failed." He decided to go to the Camacs. Only Lauren's dreams could save his friend now. When she woke up she was in a strange room. Moonlight streamed through a window accross it. She thought she was in an attic. Her hands were tied in front of her and she had a gag in her mouth. Her head throbbed with pain from where he had hit her with her gun and she could feel the dried blood on her forehead. She shook with fear. "How could I have been so stupid?" She thought. "I'm sorry Mulder." She suddenly heard footsteps. She huddled up into the corner in fright as the steps came closer and closer. "Lauren tell me everything in your dream." "No. It's too scary." "Please. I need you too. It could save Dana's life. "What about her dream?" Mrs. Camac asked him. "What dreams?" "Didn't Agent Scully tell you?" Mrs. Camac asked "I knew she had a bad dream. and that there was something she wanted to tell me. But she didn't tell me what." "I think I might know." Mulder sat in silence as Mrs. Camac told him everything she knew. He couldn't believe Scully had never told him. He was hurt by it but he knew that that didn't matter. What mattered was finding Scully alive. "There was a big gray house." Lauren told Mulder "Tell me about it." "It had large steps leading up to it. And pillars. And alligators in the wiring." "Think we could find that house?" Mulder asked Mrs. Camac. "I know that house. I could never forget that house. It's too odd. I am a real-estate Agent. I just sold it 4 months ago" She heard footsteps coming up a staircase. She wanted to hide but there seemed to be nowhere to go. She felt to weak to move as it was. She heard him walking towards her but could make out nothing in the darkness. Then an evil face appeared in the shadows. She screamed in fear. He smiled sadistically at her and kneeled down. "We are going to have a little fun now. He got on top of her restricting her movement. She struggled but she was stuck. . She remembered wanting to kill the man who had hurt her before. The same feeling swept through her. A sudden surge of energy allowed her to pull her knee up into his groin. He screamed in pain and released his grip giving her a chance. She pushed him off and ran towards the window. He drove as drove like a maniac through the deserted Florida streets. He spoke to Detective Graff as he followed the directions Mrs. Camac had given him. "His name is Allen Murphey" Mulder said reading the papers Mrs. Camac had given him. "Find all you can on him." He then dialed Rachel's number. He needed her to find out if he was under any treatment. He needed to talk to a friend. "Rachel!" He said as she answered the phone. "Mulder! Hi. Whats wrong?" She always had a way of knowing how he was feeling. "It's Scully. He took her." "Oh my god. Whats this guys name I will try to find records." That was why he loved Rachel. She always came through for him. She always knew what to do. "Allan Murphey. Thanks. I'm on my way now. I will call once...once we get him." "She will be fine Mulder. She will be ok I am sure of it." "I hope so." he said and hung up. ****************************************************** She crawled out the window onto the roof knowing she could fall to certain death at any second. She was not exactly sure how she was going to escape. She knew she had to. She would not let him hurt her. She would not let herself be violated again. She heard him crawl out the window cursing at her. She began to crawl as fast as she could with her hands tied together up to the top of the roof. She reached the top and turned. She saw him close behind holding the gun, her gun, as he went. "GO AWAY! GET AWAY FROM ME YOU BASTARD!" She screamed. He grabbed her leg with the other hand hoping to pull her off. She kicked with the other leg sending the gun flying. With one quick bound he was on top of her again. When he reached the house he could see exactly why Mrs. Camac had remembered it. it was a strange old house with a large iron gate in front. And sure enough there were alligators in the fencing. He entered the yard and the first thing he saw was Scullys gun. Then he heard a scream. He looked up and saw them on the roof struggling. "Scully!" He screamed taking out his gun. "Federal Agent Freeze!" He screamed. But before he could do anything both of them rolled off the top towards the other side of the house. He raced to the back but it ws to late. He heard them thud and saw the body lying lifeless of the hard pavement. END OF PART SIX!
